Sanjay has never been in my car before and has never driven with me before so I'm not entirely sure how he's conclusive on this besides the fact I was taking the longer way to Andy's house before.

Personally, I think I got a really good deal. I was pricing out packages online through Expedia, etc. and they were about $2K/person for 5 nights all-inclusive, airfare, everything. Michele called me at work and said there were some specials through American Airlines in the paper and I'm thinking, "yeah, crappy ones with blackout dates and other restrictions." I was wrong. Yes, I can admit it. There was a special for one of the resorts I was already looking at and it was $1350/person for 7 NIGHTS. It was some kind of stay 5 nights and they give you 2 free deal. Plus I played nicey nice with the AA booking agent and she worked some things for me to drop the price. Normally the resort alone was $275-325/night.

I had been to Aruba and she had been to the US Virgin Islands and this blew both out of the water. We REALLY enjoyed ourselves and would definitely go back. saiyin car has been to Punta Cana several times so maybe he'll chime in.
