I've known Jeff a long time, him and Jim are the only ones that have ever worked on my car other than me and the Chicago crew guys....If there's one thing I've learned about Jeff it is simply, "If Jeff refuses to do it....it is either a) a stupid thing to do, b) uncharted waters that he has ZERO confidence in, c) it's not worth it AT ALL, d) either all or some combination of the above."

I knew there had to be more to your story than you originally stated...Thanks for clearing it up! hehe

Soon, my car will be in Jeff's hands (well, garage) and will emerge a total bad ass that kicked a smoking habit. I can't wait!

Around a 245mm section width is going to be about it.

Holy fuck no!!

Rule of thumb, do not put a skinnier wheel on your car than what came stock(unless you are looking for winter wheels). Those are 18x7.5, thats like a honda wheel. You want at least 8.5 inches wide. Plus putting the widest possible tire you can fit on a rim allows the tire so move side to side in corners which can give you mushy stearing/handling.

Get a 8.5 or wider wheel, then the thinnest tire you can put on there is a 245, but you could go with a 255 or 265 and it would still work. Any bigger than 265 and you run the chance of the tire rubbing the shocks and spring perches.

Check out the tires, wheels, suspension and brakes section of 3si. There is tons of good info in there.

What exaactly are you looking for? Maybe I can save you some time, since I've done a lot of looking.

The absolute widest tire/rim combo you can fit with stock fenders/suspension/calipers and 18" rims is 275/35/18 on a 18x9" rim with a ~38mm offset (depends on the spokes really).

EDIT: Unless you decide to go stagerred...
