I'ts a big chain, they're everywhere. I bought my plan in Glen Ellyn 6 years ago, and now I get my stuff done at Glendale Heights. It's nice cuz they'll honor it at all locations. Look it up online...I'm sure you'll find something convenient.

Regarding alignments, I go to Firestone. They have a lifetime allignment plan. It's like $120 but you can go in as often as you like, for FREE ;-) I just did my truck last week. I go in 2x a year, unless I hit one of those beautiful Chicago Potholes.

Welcome back. Is this plan transferable? can it be used on more than one car at the same time? If you dont know, thats ok. I can find out myself. Just too lazy/ busy to call em up right now. But thanks for the info anyway!

You lazy B$@#^@,

Just kidding. It's actually per vehicle. I purchased one for my Jeep, and another for the 3000. As far as being transferable...don't know. They say it's lifetime, but I don't know if it's attached to the vehicle only, or also to the owner. Places like discount tire have the warranties go with the tires, even if you sell the vehicle, don't know about the allignment. Since a one time is $ 60 - 70 anyways, if you do 2, you're ahead of the game already. Anything past that is a bonus.

Good luck,

Luke

fyi last time i got a alignment at NTB they charged me 100 syaing its a special suspension.

so this lifetime firestone for more is well worth it. also i can change my camber for racing and then get it back to zero when i come back home. well worth it in my opinion.

are there actually any suspension shops around in Chicago that will not only help you setup alignments but also help you setup preload and dampening for various situations.

Ok guys i need some help here. Today was a nice day and i got my pas due emissions notice a few days ago, so i decited to go today. I was suprized when i failed it. My hydrocarbons were 720 when i needed 230 to pass. So i go home lean it out like crazy and go back. The second time they actually made me rev it to 2.5k and hold it alittle (never done this before ever) and when i got the sheet it says i got over 2,000 How the hell did this happen??? I'm thinking since my heads are flowing more air that its running way to lean and thats why me leaning it out made it worse, does that make any sence? I really don't wana have to put my 360 injectors just for 10 mins, its to cold and i'm to lazy!

Cats?

If the car is tuned right with good 02 sensors and has cats you should pass regardless of the 650s.
If you don't have cats then it's going to be harder. My DSM just passed without the converter but only by a hair.

this happened to me too. i put my cat on and leaned it out, and failed. so then i used some guarantee to pass, which you can buy anywhere (i got it at napa), and leaned it way out.... and passed.

i heard really concentrated rubbing alcohol will do it too. (>90%)

good luck man.
