Hey Greg.....after reading your list of mods under your signature......I realized that you have the LS1 MAFT , 13g turbos and 550cc. injectors. My question is: did you ever do the Fuel pump re-wire to get more volts?? Also what are your S-AFC settings at? and if you have an EGT gauge are you leaning out when WOT (I'm assuming yes)?? Also what boost are you running??

Just to give you an idea, here's my set up:

LS6 MAFT, 357 turbos and 550cc. injectors and fuel pump re-wire. Before my fuel pump re-wire, I was encountering the same problems you were having; I had started out with lean settings then had to richen as the rpm's got higher to avoid my EGT's from running real hot. After the fuel pump re-wire mod my Egts dropped and I was able to lean out my S-AFC even more consistently toward the higher rpm band and it was more consistent throughout the Lo and HI throttle spectrum of settings ( I recall having everything set at
-33 across the rpm band consistently and the car ran Strong!!). Then I finally got around to getting the LS6 MAFT which provided me with more airflow with the 357's; Now, my S-AFC settings are right at 0 across the board for LO and HI settings on the S-AFC and I'm good with no knock on the datalogger with pump gas @15psi and no knock with race gas @ 24psi !!!

Hope that helps and gives you some ideas.

I'm itching for a Chicagoland gathering............just need my work to ease up....

okay......need sleep.........

good luck.

Sup guys -

I was out last night with the Stealth, and I meet up with a few friends that all have fast cars. One has a new S/C'd Lightning that is modified. It dyno'd prior at 421 rwhp / 500 rwtq. with room for improvement, which he may have done since then. Did a 50 roll on, 3 honks, I downshift to 2nd and stand on it. I put 1 full car length on him and semi held that position with us inching back and forth between shifts . . ran up to about 105 ish before we had to brake. He started in 3rd, but when he hit it he claims it downshifted again putting it right at redline in 2nd and then it had to shift again which is probably why I gained the full car length. . . . maybe. Ran him from a stop too, no contest. Launched on him perfectly, spinning a 4 before slingshotting out. He said it was THE best launch he had ever seen from an AWD 3/S. From a roll, we seem to be pretty evenly matched. Sweet truck. His mods:

6lb lower
ported stock Eaton supercharger
EEC reflash
Mac intake
Flowmaster cat back

We did some cruising at Streets, B&I ( dead ), the Burger King on Roselle Road ( bunch of Camaros and STI's / WRX's hanging out, none of them wanted any ) and later we all went to a location where the Lightning ran a new S/C Mercedes Benz E55 from a stop. The Benz slept on the launch and the Lightning had him by a full car length at the end of the approximate 1/4 mi with the Benz coming on . . real good race. I believe those S/C'd E55's trap in the 114 range when properly driven.

A modified 2003 Porsche GT2 with 600+/600+ at the wheels (!) ran a modified Viper GTS twice ( whp unknown exactly, but believed to be 500+/550+ ) and at the 1000 ft point the Porsche was ahead by a fender both times but would then steadily pull away with authority. 2+ cars at the end and pulling. Insane car.

After that, I had wanted to run the E55 Benz but it started to lightly rain so we decided to call it a night.

I haven't done the fuel pump rewire yet, that will be my next item to take care of. Ro mentioned this as well as to why i'm hitting peak egt's at wot. I'm running around 15psi of boost, hopefully when the rewire is done the egt's will come down and I can lean it out.

If your going to do the rewire mod I would recomend that you use the Eric Gross methoud. Your going to have tunning problems later on. Alot of people has seen this using the data logger on the 94-95 cars.
