Not tryin to talk you out of it....just a reality check....how EXACTLY do u plan on gettin all those things AND putting money into your savings account by selling your VR-4?? You do realize these things aren't worth that much right? I mean u aren't expecting to get 25k for it are you? Just food for thought.....

Don't sweat it Ro, I totally understand. I have to admit however, that I didn't always. I never got it why so many guys would sell their pride and joy (car) because of a new baby, house, moving, etc. Dear lord, can't you keep your freaking car, man?!?

Things change and our priorities do as well. Good to hear life is sweet and congrats on getting engaged. There must be something in the water! LOL!

George Carlin has a lengthy and hilarious dissertation on the topic of "stuff".

ha i'll be lucky to get half that with the tight asses in this freaking market (buyers on 3si)
i havent set a price yet....but im thinking around 17.5k-18k
I'm not going to stand here and debate my pricing so i'll leave it at that.

And Sanjay...We don't have much left on Kristin's car, the only home theater stuff i'm thinking about is a new surround sound system, probably 2 or 3 new toys that go bang, a new bedroom set for the guest room, and the rest will go into savings. The money from the sale isn't going to pay for the whole thing...it'll supplement the cash we already have saved up.

Trust me..for a 24 year old and a 22 year old we are VERY ahead of the game.
The only "help" I've gotten from my folks is that I've lived rent free with them for the past 5 months while my new house is being built.

(2570sq ft + 800 or so sqft for the basement, 4 br, 3 bath, a lil under .25 acre....brand new construction..........not bad for a starter home )

Again, I DONT have to sell. I WANT to sell the car.

Just different priorities and outlook on life thats all. Plus I'm really pumped about getting a Lotus Elise. Probably summer of '07 if I'm lucky. Maybe they'll freshen it up a bit by then. We'll see.

Hope you guys don't mind me butting in with a different subject. I live south of Dekalb and am looking for a trans shop. I have a 95 3000GT TT. The trans has a leak (not sure where) and reverse is popping out and grinding. A friend suggested a shop in Mendota who has done trans work for him. The guy has worked 3000GTs but only on 5spd and automatics not 6spd trans. I spoke with him and he'd like to work on the car but wanted to get an opinion from 3SI members.

Note - RoVR4 - I emailed you a short while ago but decided to post here also.
