tallskiny i thought u had some drivetrain parts.

thanks Dan Dillon

That that's terrible. I'm sorry I didn't drop off your ecu this weekend. I haven't had a chance to get at the car, although i drove it and once again I hear noises coming from the belt area but this a familiar one which at first I thought I was low on powersteering fluid but that isn't the case I get a feeling that one of the bears on one of the pulleys is gone or something. Anywho Dan I should get at the car this week and swap the ECU out and I'll drop it off then.

House is coming along fine the floors are halfway done, already sanded and one coat of that shit on them(i forget what it's called). Looks like my wonderful wife wants to rip the basement apart and redue it before winter. Damn.

Luke, if you need help with the brakes I am happy to help. I am new here but not new to the car world. I ran a repair shop for a number of years.

it sounds like your window or door isnt lined up right, or maybe that tab got bent
its supposed to help seal the window

If you pull the window seal from around the door opening you should be able to get to the screw that holds it in. I havent personally done it, but I assume thats where the screw is, if not its not that hard to put the weather striping back.

If you're talking about the black tab that holds the window glass tight against the rubber seal then I had the same problem. its annoying as hell . I tried moving it out of the way with pliers but it didnt work so i took it down to the dealer and they fixed it for free and now its fine.

i didnt want to mess with it too much because its attached to a metal plate sorta thing and if I had bent it back and forth too much, it would've eventually come right off.
hope that helps...

roll the window down before you open it and when you shut it, THEN roll it back up.... problem solved

Hey I know this is random and out of the blue but I am planning on selling the Pig.

If you know anyone interested let me know, I'll post a complete mod list and other info about the car.

Reason for selling:

Short term:
Pay off one of the cars we have, furnish the new house, buy some extra firearms, and throw the rest in savings.

And before you start giving me shit. I WILL be buying another car in a year or two. I just dont drive the VR4 enough to justify keeping it and put more money into it.

I will be buying a Lotus Elise (Exige if I'm really fortunate to be one of 5000) with a Forcefed Motorsports Turbo kit
or if I can talk Kristin into it, a New Z06. (extra 15k over the Lotus, hence needing to talk with the old lady) in a year or two.

so anyways...if you know anyone interested in buying the Pig let me know.

Trust me I'm not getting rid of the car because of my fiance.

I hardly drive the VR4 anymore, and when I do, I want to modify her more or pour more money into it.

Enough is enough I guess.

The cash right now is worth more to me because I rather pay off one of our cars and use the rest of the money to buy kick ass home theater stuff, furniture, guns, and the rest into savings.

I just reached a point in my life that I don't need the pig anymore.

Life is pretty sweet right now. Construction should be complete on my house mid November. I'll throw a little housewarming party for the chicago crew so ya'll can see it. I'm getting married in August.
I just got a huge pay raise (30+%) and the VR4 doesn't really fit into the scheme of things for me right now.

I'm still a car nut, hence the reason why I want to get Lotus Elise in a couple of years. I want to get more into Autocrossing and maybe a few track days and a turbocharged Elise would fit the bill.

I'm still part of the group (even though I never seem to have time anymore) but I just won't have the pig (but maybe I'll have a lotus )

anyways....if anyone knows someone let me know, I'll provide info on mods, car history, and md list soon.
