There is a Car meet in front of Bobaks and the DMV paring lot on 75th street and Naper/Plainfield road in Naperville, last week there were 60-90 cars that showed up. They setup races or look at cars there, Starts around 9:30-10ish till whenever but people do leave to go race at a spot around the area.

on a side note, we're painting the house as we speak. Tomorrow the whole up stairs should be done. Only things that will be projects are the kitchen and the bathroom. Basement, well, man that's a different story got some shit i gotta fix down there. Damnit i almost bought fnorc's w/ tires for 1400 but now the guy is backing outon me. Hmmm don't know what's going on with that. But anywho I'll post pictures soon of what the house looked like when i got to it and after we finished...

you should go to GLD before fall kicks in just to see where you're at. It shouldnt be too hard to hit the tens with that set up. riiight?

1) Depends on when I get the car back to Illinois, I dont have it yet. I would like to run the car, but I'm not sure I will be use to it in the short timeframe that I will have with it before GLD closes. And yes, similar setups are in the 10's, with traps in the lower / mid 130's.

2) Yep. I had just bought and installed them before I sent the car to Matt back in May when it was just BPU. Not sure how they are going to hold up . . for track use, I'm going to guess that they will be fine. But for prolonged use, like on the street, I'm not going to be surprised if they heat soak quick. We'll see. As far as boost goes, I will be running upper 20's / lower 30's on 100/104 octane.

Scottie Pippen's father-in-law just told me he likes my car. Is this a celebrity endorsement?

Jamie, at NG '02 Mike (a dickhead) from Altered Atomsphere ran a 10.7 (or was it 10.9 ?) at the quarter. Makes me shake thinking we'd have that kinda power locally.

After you break 1/4 mile records, if some hot Asian chick asked me if THIS is the pearl yellow car that ran 10s recently, do I have your permission to bullshit her...just a little...for love's sake?

I've been busy as heck the last few weeks, and haven't been able to do my brakes. Now I've been grinding one front to bare metal. I don't know if I ground it down below spec, I'll have to tear it apart this Saturday and take it in to get turned...hopefully.

Anyways, does anyone out there have a stock rotor that they want to get rid of that would fit a 92 VR4?

Or does anyone have or know of a great deal on upgraded rotors? Slotted...or whatever.

Ideally I'd like to stick with what I have...but most rotors are over $60 as I have found...so for a few more bucks it might make sense.

Also...any recommendations on Pads? I heard Stillen Metal Matrix...anything local?

Any imput would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Luke

Luke, I have my stock rotors from when I upgraded my brakes. They do need to be turned though but they're still very thick. I'll let ya have em for dirt cheap
