If it is bad bearings, do you replace all of them? Is it cost effective to get a new engine? What does an engine cost? I don't know. I have 113,000 miles on my baby, and she's been loyal.

I grew up with simple Mopar 225s, 318s, and 360s...even a Chevy 350 or three. Back in the day, you could swap engines fairly easily. Heck, I got a picture of me and two buddies in the engine bay (with engine in!) of my first car, a Plymouth Satellite Police special that I bought for $1 at a police auction- they were practically giving them away.

I have read posts of guys with spun bearings who spend over $1,000 to fix things. I have also read posts from guys like Maddog who swap bearings in their sleep with plastic sporks stolen from the KFC condiment table.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

There is a company called soko america that sells used JDM motors and I bought mine there for $775 with a 6 mo. warranty. I just had it installed and it runs great. Can't think of the number but you can google 'em if youre interested.

should have asked earlier i could have helped you out. i charge 350 and have a good rep but i am gone for iowa.

did one at ng in under 6hrs in a parking lot

probably looking twice the price at another place. also keep in mind you want to make sure that some place can turn your flywheel asap if you want the job done in a day.

probably won't be back till 2or 3 weeks and i would only have saturday to work on it cuz i would have to leave back to iowa sunday. could be done in one day. fyi you don't necessarily need to resurface the flywheel as long as it isnt torn up but its just one of those things you do if your there. if it is torn up though theres no way around it. i personally havent had mine resurfaced and have gone throu 3 stock discs with no problems as have others.

i think theres some guys up in wisconsin that pull trannies you could try. don't know their names thou.

No biggie, you just lost to a guy that knows how to make his car run better than yours, thats all. . . cant be mad at your Stealth for that. Consider it motivation to make yours faster with the right combination of parts and tuning.

There is ALWAYS someone faster, regardless. You just need to make yours faster than 90% of what you come up against.
