Schedule 40 PVC (I assume that’s what he is using) has a compressive strength of 9600 Psi. I would imagine that the caps would blow long before the tube would explode.

So I got this idea for a great movie. It’s about two gnomes who find this bracelet of power and they have to take it to the burnings steps and toss into the cauldron of fire.

They form the Brotherhood of the Bracelet.

Along the way they are trailed by a Merloc called Gotum who’s obsessed with the bracelet and nine bracelet bogymen.

It could be a three part’er called Ruler of the Bracelet.

The first part can be called The Brotherhood of the Bracelet followed be A Couple of Towers with a climatic ending called Hey, The Kings Back.

Just looked it up because that sounded wayyyy too high. Schedule 40 PVC is rated to 300psi. Maybe the compressive strength is more but I know Ive heard of people having PVC blow up on them when making pneumatic spud guns.

Some PVC stats:

Tensile Strength, psi @ 73°F 7,450
Tensile Modulus of Elasticity, psi @ 73°F 420,000
Flexural Strength, psi @ 73°F 14,450
Flexural Modulus, psi @ 73°F 360,000
Compressive Strength, psi @ 73°F 9,600
Flash Ignition Temp. 730°F
Softening Starts (approx.) 250°F
Material Becomes Viscous 350°F
Material Carbonizes 425°F

I have seen max pressure ratings from 180 Psi to 350 Psi.

As in Black Smoke, from unburned fuel once bombed ( thats truck talk for modified lol ). Nice choice, is it an A4, M5, or M6 ? Mines an '02 2500 Quad Cab Sport 4WD Short Bed with an A4 and 4.10 gears / LSD. Love it !

Yeah, the black smoke will have to wait. It just took all my money, and my stealth still needs a trans. Mines a quad cab, a4. No idea what gears are in it, but it has a 5th wheel hitch, so Im kinda assuming its 4.10. What is the easyest way to tell?

Open the glove box and look at the options / production sticker on the backside of the glovebox door. If its not there or is unreadable, there is a metal tag attached to one of the bolts that hold the rear diff cover on, it will say what gears on that tag.

With the A4, we both have the standard output version Cummins. The high output version only came with the M6 in those years.

Yeah, I knew about the HO, but I didnt want a manual truck, it wasnt worth the 20ft/lbs. Ill just throw a chip in it and it will be fine. I actually got kinda lucky, I was looking at the truck and they quoted me a price, then I looked again and they had that price on the truck. I check their website a couple days later and its listed for 4 grand less. I go in and they did a "if you buy it tonight you can have that price". Gimic or not the kbb on the truck is 7 grand more than I paid.
