how much you got???

parts alone for me was 800ish but if you have a 25spline trans it cuts it in half. also you would need mr gearing or a 6-spd rear end so...

and then there labor for something completly custom. i can tell you it wold be 300 to replace all your synchros.

Its basicly the custom work Im looking for, and syncro replacement(which would be cool if you would let me watch, if not no biggie). Ive got the parts, aside from the "shim(s)" needed in the trans. I would probably need to replace my OS too, its a 25 spline but it shows a nice amount of wear. My alternative to this is to buy a 6 speed trans. What is your theoretical top speed with your gearing?

here look. it has many possible gear ratios.

trans hybrid

you have "mr" gears?

do you have all the synchros needed, 6-spd t-case, 6-spd driveshaft or spacer, new bearings for the pinion?

Travis,

I will probably have a stock 6-speed driveshaft available once I know there are no issues or problems with the PST. That wont be for a few weeks though.

Yes I have the jdm gears and whatever bearings go with them, which is why I wanted to know what your gearing was. Thanks for the link. I do not at the moment have all the parts needed, but I know what parts I need. Replacement 25 spline OS, 6 speed t-case, syncros. The way this is adding up it is starting to sound like it will be more expencive than if I sold my current stuff and just bought all 6 speed stuff.

On that note, how much to do my syncros and OS on my 5 speed.?

My car wont be running for at least a month. Im guessing Ill have it out next spring. I still need to buy a few expencive things that I dont have the money for, and Im not touching my credit cards for this stuff. So its going to be a slow process. I may take that off your hands if you still have it when I have the cash.

Thanks

well its a trade off. cuz i just had to buy parts it was 3 times cheaper than a complete 6-spd swap.

i got my t-case for 300, driveshaft spacer $40, entire 6-spd center diff 250,
you need t-case no matter what, spacer no matter what, 25 spline os is up to you, maybe 250.

i'd say its still cheaper but it depends on how much you can get things for.

as for synchros and os 350. best price around afaik. also have some happy people for reference and the infamous stealthextreme ordeal.

It would be a trade off if I was able to do the work of moddifiying the trans and t-case myself. But since I have to pay for it, its a different story.

I will probably just have you swap syncros and the OS, because IMO the wear is excesive. Thanks for the info.
