lets just say your car gets ohhhh saaaayyyyy 10 miles to the gallon... thats 10 gallons of gas used round trip... at $2.50 (rough estimate people) thats 25$ in gas money just driving up there and back...

NOW comes the fun stuff...

how much do your parts cost ya? i would estimate since the last time i did my 60K tune up around 400$ for parts...(discounted from libertyville) give or take but thats a good estimate depending on what you do... now your total is 425$ for parts and gas...

NOW the DEALERSHIP and every other mechanics shop will charge you the BOOK TIME to do a tune up... thats aproximatly 8 hours EVEN if they only spend 5 hours on it... so at 70$ per hour (thats the cheapest labor for a certified mechanic i have EVER found in OUR area) your looking at 560$ labor

NOW here comes the fun stuff Jeff will not only get yoru car done CORRECTLY the FIRST time... he will do it in 1/2 the time and he will only charge you 40$ per hour (I THINK that is a steal) so 4 hours at 40$ is a whoping 160$ give or take depending on how rusted all teh bolts and crap are...

Certified mechanic costs:
Labor = $560
parts = $400
gas = $2.50
Total $962.5

Jeff (Certified AWESOME at working on OUR cars)
Labor = $160
Parts $400
gas = $25
Total = $585

these #'s are just a rough estimate but if you check im sure you will find that a shop around you cant touch our cars for that price... if you were doing a clutch job the #'s are even more impressive.. closer to 1/3 the price

so do yoru own math and see what you come up with but please dont ask us where we would go because i think it was mentioned once every 5th page where the "CHICAGO CREW" for the most part takes their cars...

Cameron is expcluded from that list because he has more tools than yoru aveage mechanics shop...
