yeah, IPO has had some good runs/times with 17G's . . . dont know of anyone else though that has gotten into the 11's with them, that posts here on this site anyway . . Bill had terrible luck/issues with his 357's, and that was quite common with other 357 owners on this board.

Not meaning to disrespect or bash any particular turbo, or any owner of a particular turbo, just sharing my opinions based on info gathered right here on this site
Jamie,

Yea, I haven't heard of ANYONE having good luck with the 357's so far. Most of the 357 cars are in the mid 12's.....dunno what the issues with it are, but GTPro hasn't been very forthcoming on information on how to support the 357's with other mods. And then GTPro advertises it as the '17G killer' turbo....so far 13G turbos beat 357's. I think Bill's best time was like 12.6 or 12.5 on the 357's....I don't remember what Ahmed's was....but it's definately not the times that a '17G killer' turbo should be putting out.

A friend of mine has an 8-10 year old Maxima and is thinking about replacing the brake pads himself. He's never done it before. He asked me how do you balance them when you're done. I told him I didn't know what he was talking about. He replied, "Don’t they balance the force of the front brake vs. the rear brakes? If your rear brakes squeeze harder than your front, your back tires will lock up. I will have to pull some old tickets to see if they noted it in their service." Is this true or bull?

What ever happened to 'sluggo' / Pete, the asyerian(sp) gentleman from Skokie with the yellow RT/TT who was politically active . . . . damn, now that I think about it, lots of guys have come and gone from this thread . . .

Did we ever figure out who the guy is with the blue '96/'97 VR4 with the FMIC ? Palatine / Arlington Heights area was where I saw the car a few weeks back, on Rand road ( Route 12 ) . . . is it one of you yahoo's here ( and I say that with affection . . . . . not ), and you're not telling us because you dont want your 'cat' out of the bag ??

Come on, I know its one of you guys here

Sounds like he is confusing bleeding with balancing ? Or adjusting the rears so that they dont 'grab' hard, or harder than the fronts . .

You dont have to adjust stock brakes, thats would only be if you go aftermarket fronts (and rears) and had to adjust for the difference created by going aftermarket.

About a year ago, he was having his Stealth entirely repainted the same existing Pearl Yellow due to an accident of some sorts . . . he was politically active with some sort of underground radio show / internet broadcast that he hosted . . . not sure if that has anything to do with him disappearing . . .those things can get one sided and radical pending on what the show was all about and what his views are/where . . . I never met him in person, he just posted on here for a short time and he PM'd me with a few questions . . . seemed like as nice guy. He was a movie buff, always quoting lines from movies in his posts
