I really dont understand why you are selling your 6 speed drivetrain. It may allow you buy an engine, but then you still wont be able to drive the car. Sell stuff that you dont need, or are going to replace later. Dont sell stuff that is hard to come by in order to get stuff that is readily avalible.

Pssshhh I only have like $700 left out of all my money. We were going to sell the drivetrain and FMICs that he included to raise money for a Vr4 coming up to auction that was rear ended with low miles. The drivetrain on that car looked pretty sound and shifted fine. We are just stuck right now with no money and I want to get this project rolling All the drivetrain stuff is already out of the car anyways.

If you are gonna flame me about wasting squirrels, what the hell, I probably deserve it.

I have a Ruger Mark IV target pistol (.22 LR) and am very good with it. However, I will not appear on the news (Crazy man in Skokie is arrested for shooting a gun). Plus, I don't want to meet any big guys in prison. (Sanjay can elaborate)

I have a BB gun with a velocity of 480 fps. My buddy has a pellet gun rifle with 650 fps velocity in pellets. Both are .17 (4.5 mm). Will either work on these rodents from hell?

Yes, I know a .44 magnum will work, and would blow the squirrel's head- clean off. But I'm looking for something lower key.

Any advice on those two guns (BB or pellet) gents?

Gracias.

LOL (Sanjay can elaborate) that man takes so much abuse!

Anyways, why not just set a few traps for the bastards (not Sanjay, the squirrels) Surely you will get arrested if you go popping caps in the middle of Skokie. Neighbors tend to frown on that. If you are unfamiliar with setting traps, Animal Control would be glad to help, but at a fee of course.

When I lived in BG, we had a few problems with Coons getting in the garbage cans. At first I took a broom and just shoved him down the street, but he kept coming back. So Animal Control came, set a Coon trap, and never saw the fucker again.

here we have a dilema... in one side i would say buy yourself something with a flash suppressor (maybe a .50 BMG) BUT seeing how silencers are not allowed in illinois, and that gun has a fair amount of concussion to it... i would go buy yourself a single shot "BOLT" action .22 long riffle... the important part being a bolt action if you use an automatic 1/2 teh sound will come out of teh chamber as teh shell is discharged... the bolt action keeps the sound going out of the end of the gun reducing noise by up to 50%...

NOW with this being said also there are these magnificent rounds labeled "SUBSONIC" get yourself a set of these babys and a cheap scope and yoru set.. the only think yoru gonna hear is the noise of someone clapping.. a medium clap not a golf clap or a clap when you hear someone belly flop in a pool (see Sanjay for that one!)

i dont have links to either one but i KNOW you can buy teh bolt action single shot .22 for around 50$ up to 80$... then a cheapo scope might run you about 25-50$ and teh rounds are cheap they are .22! and your set

otherwise you can go drop about 300$ up at any shop that sells pellet guns the .22 cal type with 1000 fps and unbelievable range... but get the hollow point pelets they cause more damage... also if you go this route i believe that this will cause a louder clap than the .22 with subsonic rounds...

one last thing.. with the sub sonic rounds you will only be able to shoot effectivly out to about 30-40 yards... they drop pretty fast after that.
i just took care of some racoons from a friends house with his .22 and sub sonic rounds... they work great...

good luck

I'd say..get one of those sniper BB guns and shoot those damn fuckers..it'd be better than shooting them with a handgun.. Hey any idea where i can get a reliable VR4 with low miles? How much am i lookin to pay for it? I'd go with the later years...from 97-99. Just lookin for future investment
