Well the new car has polly mounts too.
And some small vials of a clear liquid were found under the seat................... Sooo many screws and small bolts are missing from the interior that it kinda scares me to think how many are missing under the hood. |

Oh, and Damon, stay the hell away from engine management. You just got that beauty running again. Enjoy it for the summer before you start hacking it up bro. Love and hugs all around. ![]()

Quick question guys...when you notice that your fuel consumption has suddenly increased pretty quickly. What factor weighs more into the cause of this?
Faster driving (ie. rev-ing the engine at higher RPMs and driving slightly faster (accelerating quickly from stop signs/ traffic lights) or is one of the fuel injectors bad? Ok ok...I know it sounds a little confusing but when I 'm talking bout faster driving I don't mean at speeds of up to 85mph..i'm talking low speeds like (ie downtown driving) but instead of keeping a constant top speed...I accelerate faster at lower speeds to gain pickup and then drive at around 50-60mph. Also is it normal for my fuel tank to reach it's half mark after 175 miles of driving for a NA 3000gt..or should I be expecting more miles pergallon. ...Basically I think my car is in need of a tune up ..since I haven't got one since I got the car...but I'm just looking into feedback from some of you avid drivers out there. |

Wing Attack Plan "R" ?

Fuel consumption:
1) "Jack-rabbit" starts are bad for fuel economy. 2) Check air pressure in tires. Too little increases "rolling resistance" and increases fuel consumption. 3) Make sure you are not riding with Sanjay's book on "How to pick up Women". It weighs a lot, has no useful info, and can get you bad fuel economy. 4) Smooth and steady always is good for fuel economy. 5) Yeah, get a tune up, that always helps. Fuel guage: Ours are famous for being "optimistic". Your first half of a tank will lead you to believe that you will get 40 mpg. The second half drops like a rock. Do not measure fuel economy based on what your guage tells you. Keep a written log on your driving habits and on how much fuel you used (based on what the gas pump tells you). If you suddenly get poor mileage you will know something is wrong. But you need a good "baseline" to know where your car is. In my TT I once got 33 mpg, all 100% highway driving to Arkansas. In 100% city driving I get 16 mpg.
