NO do not disconnect them from the strut towers! only disconect the main ECS computer in the trunk. it should be on the right side as yoru leaning in from behind teh car. i think i have a link that will help you if i can find it...

if your a mamber this shouydl work otherwise do a search there is a picture of teh spot in the trunk that yoru looking for i beleinve its the farthest back panel in the trunk on the passenger side! good luck!

if you want to keep your ecs fine do that repair if it works! but for now to tell if the ECS is causing your problems just unplug it and it will revert to sport mode!
it will be a little harder on the kidneys but hell you dont care im sure!
just pull the plug on it and cover the conectors so that they dont get corroded if you want to use it again! let us know what happens!
