do you have the ECS? if so i would unplug thath and see how it goes! i had CLOSE to the same problem a while ago then it got increasingly worse! untill i unplugged the ECS! give that a try. other than that i wouldn know were to begin with the exception of looking at your blow off valve! do you have that HKS? or the blitz?

my brothers booked up pretty much every weekend for a little while. how soon do you need the stereo installed? i will get teh next time hes free so he can see what you want to do!

ECS. You mean the adjustable suspension? Yeah, I have that. How could that have anything to do with it in the past few weeks when it hasn't had an effect over the past nearly 7 years I've owned the car? Hmm.

My BOV is the TurboXS H-RFL and I've had it for over a year. Anyway, I got someone to speculate it could be a loose ground wire.

i hear ya but my car had it in there for 11 years and the damn thiong started acting yup last year! plus do a search aroudn here i garuntee youll find some answers to what your looking for. i know there was alot of people with the same problesm because tehy were second gen and all they did was unplug the bastard!!! give it a try!

Todd,

Maybe try these items to check:

1) IAC solenoid or idle control solenoid ( for the warm/hot restart problem )
2) people have been having ecm problems in general as these cars age
3) double check for yourself the battery cables. Follow them down your self with your hands to make sure that they are connected fully, and have no 'open' breaks in them. It almost sounds like you are losing your ground or are re-grounding out at times.
4) check your plug wires and all of the connections. Pull them off and re-apply them. Inspect them closely for tears / breaks. How old are they ?
5) swap coils with someone. These are also prone to give erratic issues like this once they start going bad

lol Damon. So where do I unplug them? Just pull the plugs under under the black caps up front where my strut bar is connected, and the same in the back? Will I be stuck in Tour or Sport mode? I can try that and also check out the things Jamie suggested. Thanks guys!!

No real rush here. Its not going into/on the water for at least another 2 months, so as long as we can talk sometime before that, that's fine with me. Again, the best days for me ( for an actual install ) are Fridays and Sundays.

What Circuit City store does he work at ? Maybe I can just pop in to his store and talk with him a little bit. Thanks.

I'd appreciate an answer to my question above.

Also, I was out a little just a little while ago and it seems that in normal driving, when I push in the clutch to coast or go into nutural, the voltage often drops the moment I press the brake peddle. It's just for a split second but enough to make the radio go off for a second then it comes back even though I still have the brakes depressed. (I'm guessing it has to do with the brake lights coming on, maybe.) But it doesn't happen every time.

Yep, you know where they are... just unplug 'em. I think the system defaults to sport mode but I'm not sure... I'm ECS'less!

Oh, and for those that know Candy... she just won MAJOR awesome points!!! She got me Tein S-Tech lowering springs for my birthday! Awe-some!


I also got a new football, cleats, "Don't Mess With Texas" shirt and shot glasses, etc. Whose up for "moderate contact" football soon???
