JRC and I just got pwn3d by the cops getting off onto Elgin Expressway

John stopped by to pick me up in Carol Stream after eating some pizza and watching a movie here followed by a short run to the Alumni Club. We left the Alumni Club on Algonquin (near Motorola) around 2AM and about as soon as we got onto Elgin Exp. I saw a cop in the median. He let off the throttle and as we went by the cop's running lights went on. We slowed down and the cop got on our tail and soon afterwards the cherries came on. Got busted for 60 in a 45 zone. What sucks is people were going faster than we were and did so while we were pulled over as well as after we took off again.

Otherwise it was a fun evening

Where do you live in the Chicago land area? Your location says St. Louis area but I remember you mentioning in another thread that you're in this area?

wow, i'm always doing ~65 on the elgin ohare eway goin to grand vic and back. I better be more careful from now on. I thought it was a 55 speed limit the whole way through just until the end where it kinda turns into a street?

Dave - I am from St. Louis, but my uncle lives here in Carol Stream which is where I am now. I come up to visit occasionally and might get a job around here after I take the one class I need to graduate. Unfortunately I don't have the Stealth or 3000GT up here so we took John's VR-4 last night.

It's only 45mph from I-290 to the light at Rohlwing I guess. After the light it goes back to 55 again. Kind of a speed trap area. Funny thing is most of the drive I took last night people were going faster than me. Even worse, I have a Valentine1 but it was hanging on the window of my Quad Cab because I haven't really been driving the Vr4. The cop was sitting in the medium with his lights off and it's so damn easy to go through a 1/2 and get to 60 before you even know it. He said I was doing 63 but locked it in at 60. It was also like 2:30am and not a soul was on the road but me and him. Sucks.
Yeah, Paul lives in St Louis. He happened to catch me on IM last night while in visiting relatives and invited me over for Pizza. I had to show him the crazy scene they have up on Algonquin Rd at the Alumni Club.
Paul, why weren't you in church at 9:30 am? LOL

BTW, does anyone here need a Greddy SP single shot cat-back? It's 3" with a 3" falange. The exhaust hanger broke from me pulling into a driveway. The lower part of the tip is scraped, but you don't really notice it unless you're under the car a lot. I wanted to go dual again so I ordered the ATR. The Greddy sounds good - deeper and a bit louder, but not a ricey/raspy sound. The new price is about $675. I'd take $325 and could bring it up next time I come back. I'd like to sell it to someone local so I don't have to deal with shipping it.
