If you need a battery, I have a couple here that work. I got one that'll fit in there, its used, but works. I also just purchased 2 big ones for a boat, they won't fit in there, but if you need to test with a brand new battery (1 day old - at least to my door) stop on by.

What bewilders me is the car ran fine with no problems and now after sittin fow 2 weeks it won't start. After I parked the car in my garage I had my dad practice starting the car a few times so that he could start it for me once a week. That went well and the car started then. The first time he tried to start the car a week and a half later it became a no-go.

I won't be back til the 18th of Feb when I come back for the gathering. When I come home the 18th I will most likely be in the garage trying to fix the dam problem. If it comes to no avail, I may have to ask someone at the gathering if they coudl lend me a hand after wards.

I will def call you if i need that extra battery.

However, since it sounds like you have power a more likely cause is the shitty little wire leading down to the starter. There are two wires going to the starter, one bolts on with a 12 mm nut. The other is a clip. The clip has caused problems on numerous cars. Wiggling it usually "solves" the problem.

I'd avoid having your dad continue messing with it, but might ask him to disconnect the battery until you get home. When you start troubleshooting, just jack it up and crawl under and take a look at the starter. Also check the connection on the positive post of the battery and make sure it's tight.

You have my number if you need it... I wouldn't stress about it, most likely just a loose connection.

-Jeff
Thank you very much for the advice Jeff. My dad already told me he stopped touching it after it wouldn't start. As for troubleshooting I will be sure to check for those few areas.

Thanks again.

Dave
