Yup, you found me out. A sale is currently pending and is 99.9% sure it will be completed. I'll know within another day or two.

In August I bought a 2001 Audi 2.7T, so I will still be driving a twin-turbo AWD, just now I have twice as many doors and can comfortably take 4 additional passengers. It's a great car and I'm really enjoying it. It's also a lot more comfortable and convienent when I've got the family. And that was the major consideration. My wife never caught on to driving a stick, so she couldn't drive the VR-4. So if we were going anywhere as a family or if my wife had to drive somewhere, it was always in our Acura MDX and we were racking up a lot of miles on it. So now we can spread it between the two cars better.

This Audi is loaded with the sport package (17" BBS wheels, taller seat bolsters, tighter suspension, etc), luxury package, cold-weather package, and navigation. I just got the transmission reprogrammed so it shifts better and plan to get it chipped in a week or so which will give me around 320hp on 93 octane, up from the stock 250. Won't be as quick as my VR-4, but still is fun and won't be a money pit because the auto tranny can't handle over 400hp. There's a "race gas" mode available when I get it chipped that would put it at around 370hp on 100 octane race gas, but I don't know if I'll go for that or not. I can't imagine spending that much on gas very often. But it would be fun to try it, so maybe I will. I don't plan on doing much more to it than that. I was planning on installing RS6 exhaust, but recently heard negitive results on the 2.7T. Apparently it works well on the 4.2 V8 however. I also like that it's not silver or black. It's called Ming Blue. Here's a link to pictures: http://www.fototime.com/inv/2CF89A25872C63D

I was hopping to someday get to a point where I could get a bigger house with a 3-car garage and be able to afford to keep the VR-4 and also get my A6. I've liked Audis for many years and always planned on owning one someday. Actually, I'd like to replace the MDX with a Porsche Cayenne Turbo, have gotten an RS6 instead of the A6, and kept the VR-4 but gotten it totally redone. But that just hasn't quite worked out yet. And the more I thought about it, the more I thought it made sense to get rid of the expense of the VR-4, because you know there is always something to spend more money on with these cars, and get it off my insurance. Being a family man, I have other things I want to do and need to spend money on.

I plan to still check in and see what's going on here, and will always be a fan of the 3S and you guys!

Its been winterized and is about to be put away. Still debating on whether to ship it to South Florida for the winter.

My Donzi is an express cruiser ( think Sea Ray ), its not an offshore performance boat like those that where used / chased in the movie. Its great for ( ahem ) entertaining but its not necessarily fast ( 42 mph ). I'm tired of it already though, and will be getting another Cigarette as soon as I can find the right hull for the motors that I had built over the summer.

Just got confirmation that the buyer has accepted my VR-4 and the funds are being released from escrow to me. So it's a done deal. As you can imagine, it's also a bit sad. The car is in Colorado now, Boulder I think. I invited the new owner to introduce himself here and keep me/us informed of additional mods, track times, dyno results, etc. and send pictures.

One last post of a political nature.

I have one last message for Kerry, Edwards, Daschle, Gephardt, ANY Kennedy, and just about everyone else who wants to raise MY taxes to support social agendas to ease THEIR troubled consciences:
