Hey guys,

Just wanna say thanks for recommending me to take my car up to Jeff's for my 120K service. He did an awesome job; very nice, honest, and great guy! definitly worth driving there. Thanks a lot Jeff, really appreciate it!

Now that i spent my money on that, i can finally start saving up for a mtx . (but it'll be awhile).

When you say Mark, you mean me? If you do, of COURSE

Actually I'm going with my buddy Luke who had that nasty motorcycle accident in where he lost his right leg. He should have his fake by then but we were thinking of havin him say he lost his leg from the Iraq war to get some chicks for him Heh heh, nah he don't need to say that but I just thought it would be a good idea. I mean, he can get a table full of girls just talking about the accident.

440 4x4

When i took my car out around christmas i smelt the same gas odor as Andy.

Ever since then i smell it when i start the car up.

Could it be the cold weather.

Could it be that I need to replace injectors. I don't smell it before i start the car after it sits over night.

Could it be that too much gas dumped into the engine.

In an attempt to understand this, let's try to put the pieces together. Maybe something simple is being missed - it's at least worth a try...

My understanding is your clutch suffered an early death in late August or so, and the car sat around until we did the clutch in November. It seemed ok when you picked it up, and now has a fuel scent, but not consistently. You indicated you added the MAFT - any other mods or work performed since the clutch incident?

Things that we could possibly bump while installing the clutch are: Fuel filter, fuel line leading from filter to engine, and that's about it. If one of those were leaking, it should be very obvious, particularly since they are under a lot of your favorite thing - P.S.I.

Do you track your mileage at all - has it decreased significantly, as it would with a leak?

An odor may be difficult to track down, but a leak would be very bad for your future, so I'm just trying to determine what other things may have been done which could have affected this.

We are more than happy to give it a "once-over" if you want to drive up here.

-Jeff
Jeff i checked the fuel filter i really didnt go over teh lines but it wasnt the problem... im wondering if the seals on the injectors are not completely sealed... i smelled it after the clutch install maybe because i was paying more attention to the car after that... BUT if got worse after i put the LS6 Mas and MAFT in.. soooo that is what makes me wonder if it is teh injectors.... possibly that OR the lines that feed the injector loom? i tried to check thos econnections but i didnt have time to remove the plenum. sooo i dunno. i will try to bring it up there if i can sometime soon, but like i said i dont think it was a problem of the clutch install im just saying i NOTICED it after the install.....

anyway if you guys have any ideas let me know thanks
Andy
