Its a TD04, but there is no way it will bolt up. However, all you have to do is get a 3 bolt td04h turbine housing. Errr, scrath that the only td04 housing that will fit our cars are td04,td04l, and td04hl. I dont know the sizes of those wheels, so you may be able to get the one that is slightly smaller and have it machined out to fit the td04h wheel.

Off topic :

Anybody know a good sportswear shop for embroidery, silkscreen, custom t-shirts, etc type of work ? I need to have about 100 t-shirts drawn up, along with some other logo'd apparel. Doesnt necessarily need to be local ( I'm using a place in Pompano Beach, FL now ) but that would help.

Hey crew, back after a moderately long absence. Looking to TT my 99SL and am considering buying a TT kit from another board member. Would anyone like to help? I'm no expert when it comes to engines, HOWEVER, if you tell me how to do something I can probably get it done. The location, if the help comes to me would be located in Burbank, IL. If anyone's interested, PM me with your conditions of employment [i.e., what you'd like in return, or whatever - no sexual favors please]

I know we're heading into winter so the sooner the better, guys. Any and all help will be appreciated. Also, until I've got 100% of the parts I won't ask people to commit, just kind of gauging interest at this point. Thanks again to everyone in advance.

Your sig says you have an automatic transmission....what do you plan on doing with that tranny? I guarantee you it will blow up real fast, if not the first time you floor it. I'd worry about that tranny first before you decide to TT the car. The auto tranny CAN NOT hold the power from the TT engine. There is another board member in Chicago who supercharged his sl and had a nightmare of a problem with the tranny. I think he got it rebuilt like 5 or so times.

Crap. If i have to get a MTX tranny too, I don't think I'll be able to afford it. Is an ATX out of a 99SL with only 43,000 miles worth anything? I'll have to do some more searching I guess...

No problem, I'm sure the tranny is worth something to someone who needs one. I'm not sure what it's worth, but I'm sure u should be able to get good money for it. try making a thread in the parts for sale forum to see what ppl are willing to pay for one

If you build the tranny and put a shift kit on it it will be faster than an MTX, the gearing is a lot better on it. Check out the FWD forced induction section for more info.

hey guys,

just wanted to let everyone know, in case anyone is looking for me, that I'll be MIA till sometime tomorrow because I'm getting laser surgery on my eyes....so no more glasses! And I'm not even supposed to open my eyes until sometime tomorrow....so I'll be back when I can see again! hehehe
