Yeah I am having problems with this damn turbo install. Maybe Jeff or Jim will read this and give me an idea of what's wrong. Old turbos blew, blue smoke, no boost at all, so I take 'em out and get Greg's old turbos. Install those and crank it for like 10 minutes before the car started up. Well of course a crapload of smoke all over. Car just wants to stall when it gets around idle so I took my jackstands and stuck on the accelator to keep the car running around 3k rpms. Let it run like that for a WHILE. Take it fora spin boosts fine but still blue smoke. and once again I come to a stop and the car won't idle. No matter what the situation the car just will not idle it just stalls. Yesterday I ran it again and let it run for a while and what seems like is I got rid of most of the blue smoke at the moment. Took it for a couple WOT first and second gear runs. One at 6 psi and one at 1 bar. Still won't idle, some blue smoke. Pissing me off. 708-417-2870 oh and i broke my palm pilot

Is your oil level going down at all? With that much blue smoke you would think it would be going down fast.

Also an added note. My buddy came over and when I started the car up he opened up the oil cap and blue smoke was coming out through there like a bitch and oil spatting out. Hmmm he's telling me the heads are toast. Somebody tell me this might be other wise.

My car smoked worse than a rasta farian after the new turbos were put in...old turbos died a horrible death spewing oil into the exhaust...so i can vouche for the smoking from that

Fellas, for all that are interested on the weekend of the 24th of January; myself, Damon, and Ro (so far) will be heading into Lake Forest to wander around the Ferrari/Maserati/Aston Martin showroom of LakeForestSportscars. All are invited to join us and afterwards we'll head to Hooters in Vernon Hills for lunch. It will be on Saturday, cause they aren't open on Sunday, so if you're interested, let me know.

Sounds like fun! you can tentatively count me in! I'm just not sure if I have to go into work on saturday or not....but I should be free in the afternoon as long as nothing comes up!
