Hell, everyone has T-Shirts, how much you think for a golf shirt? Something you could wear to work... that is wear to work if your company has a dress code.

Unfortunately schedule 40 PVC just can't hold that kind of pressure........schedule 80 or other types of pvc can......but in the pics it's schedule 40.

schedule 40 can hoold damn near 180 or more psi and thats the low end estimate that with 20% factor rating....
but if you build it it will work as a squirt gun just fine! if you read like up to page 20 or so there explain the pressures that are involved and that the seals or cement is the weakest at 150 psi
i think i cant remember

Hows it going? I just got a 93 stealth R/T N/A and I love it to death. I am very privileged to have this as my first car... yes first car. I am right outside of Chicago (near elmhurst, bellwood, hillside) and just wanted to know if you guys ever go cruising at all around the area.

Welcome to the group!! Congrats on your car! I'm sure you will enjoy your 3/S as much as the rest of us do. Our Chicago group is a pretty tight crew, there's usually a few ppl (of our group) that meet up very often. That 'few' is usually on a rotating basis.....meaning there's hardly a couple weeks that go by where at least 3-4 or more ppl of the group don't meet up to hang out. Obviously weekends is when most folks hang out, but we've been known to go out on weeknights as well.

Tell us more about your new car. color? where you got it? miles? etc etc...

-Sanjay

Dodge Re: Chicago Crew Thread #2

The car does have a load of miles on it but it runs very solid, the engine was rebuilt not too long ago. 150k miles, it is a dark shade of green, automatic, has a 6 inch scratch that I will need to get fixed but besides that it is pretty solid. I looked around for a long ass time and found this one in Batavia for $4,000. Later on I may look into buying a newer engine for it, but it should last me for now. I mean... what else could a 16 year old kid wish for?

I guess this guy didn't know about changing his timing belt so on the highway he was doing 65 and it broke, just completely destroyed the valves. So he ended up spending $3,000+ just to get it fixed, he even included all of the repair receipts. The car is amazing for the price that I found it for.

True. I followed the plans a few days ago. Haven't gotten the balls to use alcohol yet, but the thing can shoot water at a very, very, unsafe velocity.

Maybe for the 4th I could try it out, I'm not too keen on wearing it though... It's not quite as cool though without it strapped on your back. Now that's an ARMY OF ONE.

ps. we need a god damned flame thrower smiley!!! CMON!!!

my thoughts exactly. and those of you who have seen my tennisball launcher, ie Wes, Jeff Damon, and maybe a couple of others. that thing holds 150 psi easy but i put a poper set at 125 psi just to add that extra safty measure, because of teh joints. anyway next gathering up at someones house that has a compressor i will bring it and show you guys how awsome this thing is.... it looks like a big white bazooka!

I ran a modded Z06 last night, from a roll.

Short story : I lost by a car, probably a car and a half. Ran from 4800/4900 rpm in 3rd gear ( thats about 70-75mph I think, on my six speed ) to the top of 4th.

Details: Getting on a major 6 lane highway, I'm following a black Z06 up the on ramp. I note the 4 LARGE oval exhaust tips ( not the stock exhaust ) that is very loud, that the car is lowered, and that it has some sort of racing team / tuner shop slogan at the bottom of the back/rear window. It had the requisite badges on the fenders, but I couldnt make them out. hmmm. He gooses it up the ramp a little and I hear him bark second and let off. We get up on the highway, I slowly pass him, he speeds up and matched my speed. He looks over and nods. I'm in 3rd gear at 4800/4900 by this time and holding. I do a short goose and let off, letting the blow off value sing a little. He comes up next to me and I hear him downshift so I stand on it ( yeah, yeah I know, shoulda did the 3 honks but I was not wanting to miss the opportunity and wasnt thinking ). I jump ahead by probably half a car or so ( he was completely out of view of my passenger side window ) until I have to shift into 4th at 6700. He comes by me ( pipes SINGING ) on my shift and continues to pull until he has to shift and I then match / hold my ground. By then though, I'm down by the car / car and a half. I seemed to hold that distance until I reached about 5500 rpm and it looked like he inched up / open up the gap a little more. I looked down and at 6500 I was going to shift but we had to let up/off because of upcoming traffic.

I roll my window down and give him the out the window and he returns it with a large smile. He was a young(er) guy with glasses.

thanks, Jamie! good seeing you guys again too. The funny thing is I ran into a pack of bikes on the way back home; so of course, we all had to play; I think the flames scared the shit out of them all (especially when they're right up my driver's rear quarter where the exhaust is).......evidently there's more of a "flame throwing" effect when I'm in 3rd gear hitting full boost and then letting off the gas....it actually scared the shit out ot me as well when I "lit up" the expressway for a 10th of a second....then again.......then again.... I'm still getting used to driving this car and 3rd gear is beginning to surprise me! fyi, it's a 4 speed. Funny how I've had this car for a couple of years now and I've only driven it a few times. I guess, I drive my VR4 around more than any of my other toys!

btw, Jamie: nice runs, bro..... your stealth is ffaaaast !
