So I ve been seeing an add on craigslist for this 99 vr4 for sale at a volkswagen dealership in daly city for some time now with no listed price.
Well today my buddy and I were cruising through daly city and decided to drop by and see if it's still for sale just for the hell of it. We found it easily and walked onto the lot. The car definetly stood it out and was very clean. The car ad had it listed at about 70k miles which was true. Now the interesting part was the price. I thought somewhere in low to mid 20 thousand range was a reasonable dealer price to rip people off at. So we walk in and ask how much it's going for, the dealer guy inside said with a big smirk on his face, $32,998. Is it just me or is that just an insane asking price? Maybe he thought the car is a supra or something but DAMN! No wonder it's been up for sale for awhile now. Just thought I d share ![]()

No that was the actual price, we then walked back to the car and saw the sticker in the back side window which was wierd since they always put it on the windshield.
I should convert mine to the 99 look and sell it for 40 g's and then buy myself four vr4's. |

That's as bad as the Roseville Mitsubishi that still has a 95 white VR-4 Spyder with over 60K miles on it and they want $45K. I laughed at the dude in his face and told him it'd never sell. His response was of course, "It will sell, cause it's a collector's car". LOL

Yeah, i saw that black one on Craigslist too! I called the dealer and asked and was given a 32K price.... that's quite a bit of money.

If it's black, clean, and low miles, you got a smokin deal. Alot of people whine about the low sales value of heir 3/S and then when a fine example comes up for sale at a higher price people scoff and laugh. I think it's cool they are asking that much. |
