I'm thinking about heading up there, still would be nice to have some people head up locally.

Anymore meets in Miliptas?

Back in the old days, people used to meet in 237/Caleveras Blvd for Saturday night drag race.

Same place, same time. No 3/s except for me when I'm there, though. 237/McCarthy area. 99 Ranch Market. I don't know about Saturdays, though. I don't show up there too often on Sat's. Friday nights are always packed, though.

So what I gather, there isn't much 3s activity in the Bay Area? I'm in San Jose and would love some people to collaborate with. Like....does anybody have a good mechanic in the bay area? Need a clutch, don't have the $1300 the dealer wants - or time....or skill. Only real engine work I've done is on old Chevys with NO smog stuff whatsoever.

My ACT clutch was done by Motorsport Techniques in Hayward. Cost me around $700 parts+labor. They do a great job and adjust everything to your liking. Or if you don't mind the extra drive, Trust Autoworks in Oakland is pretty reasonable with prices and they are easy going guys. I have known Kin at Motorsport and Mike at Trust for years. They're cool folks.

If you need anything, just let me know and I'll give them heads up before you go down there.

$700 total or just parts? What I'd really like to do is buy a stage-II setup and get together with some people and do it over a weekend or something. But if you're saying you got it all done for $700 I'll call them tomorrow.

Well, I paid Motorsport $700ish for both parts AND labor. If you have a clutch in mind that you specifically want, then call and ask them how much labor is. Or, they might be able to order it for you for a decent price. Either way it's up to you. Thier number is 510-783-8383 and ask for Kin. Tell him Ed (drives a white 3000gt) referred you and he'll know.

You can also call Mike at Trust 510-893-3909. But he doesn't show up at the shop until after 6pm lol. The shop pretty much closes at 11 or 12 at night depending on how much work he has to do. He's a tall skinney guy in the mid 40s and looks like Jesus.

Hope this helps.

Hey wassup all. LOL I think the black vr-4 with the gto emblem yall saw a while back was my car! I've only seen 1 other black gto emblemed 3k but never at bubble. well I just got my car back from car heaven and am pretty close to fully fixing it so it can drive far enough to reach bubble (which isn't too far anyways) so ill be hittin that spot up again pretty soon. you'll see me in a pack with a dumpload of mixed cars (ricers excluded) so just holla at me. my name is randy. its always good to see more than one 3/S at the same spot. later!
