umm, if he is not running faster than those cars then his car is sick. I can't really diagnose the problem w/o more specifics. Also, the most a 94 SL atx will weigh is 3430 lbs w/o a driver.

How many miles does the car have? What kind of maintenence has been done to it recently? Are the plugs new? Have you done a compression check? Are you burning oil?

All of these questions and more need to be addressed. If your car is getting beat by a Cavalier, something is seriously wrong with your engine.

Actually, the cavi's are high 15 second cars, which make them prime for an ATX. I watched another 3Si member with an ATX get beat soundly by a girl driving a cavi at the track.

I'm wondering the same thing as Andrew. If it were one of the special ones, then I'd agree. But a base Cavilier should be no contest.

Your basic z24 cavi (the one he mentions he got beat by). The thing hadlr weighs anything and has shorter gearing, so it doesn't need lots of horsepower to make the difference.
