i've always wondered if other's had this same ticking/buzzing on their ATX's as well.

but yes, it is a solenoid. no clue why it is so loud, but then again these are some of mitsu's largest car trannies made, so it doesn't surprise me.

it was just kinda strange that mine didnt tick until after i did a tranny fluid and filter change. It has me boggled, but, I plan to get the mitsu tranny fluid in a few weeks and filter as well. I bought the current filter kit at autozone, and used atf 4 fluid. She shifts fine, but the tick bothers me. I also wonder if theres not a connection with the throttle assembly somehow, because as i mentioned earlier, the noise goes away when the rpm raises above 800 to 900. Something I done has caused this, just cant figure out.
