Default Symptoms of a faulty pulse generator...

I am wanting to know what you guys think some symptoms of a faulty pulse generator are...My tranny keeps going between 3rd and 2nd and takes forever to finnaly kick into 2nd..usually about 4k rpms which is way late..should be about 2500rpm's...It is not slipping..This a problem that comes and goes...which is why I think it is electrical...17 year old car some electrical pieces are going to go bad...what do you guy's think? Thanks.

I'm not terribly familiar with the electrical sensors, etc of an ATX, but I do know they can be the cause of shifting issues.

My advice, is to change your fluid, filter, and also add a bottle of the Lucas Oil Automatic Transmision fix.

See if the above helps your problem any.

i still say try replacing the park/neutral switch first, then let us know how it comes out.
