Default Just Had ATX Rebuilt, Now Slipping On Acceleration

Ok now before my tranny went out my car never EVER slipped out of gears. My tranny was rebuilt for $2200 by a local tranny shop. I have a long list of the parts that were changed on the rebuild so i am pretty confident with the shop. Now the thing that is really pissing me off. As soon as i got the car back from their shop it started doing this. EXAMPLE: Every day when i back out of my drive way in reverse(whether cars warm or not) , I switch the gears with my shifter from Reverse into Drive and press the gas lightly. THe car then goes a little and then REVS UP like its in neutral, goes back into gear burning the tires, now in SECOND, then it will REV UP again and go into the next gear or so. It will do this shit ESPECIALLY when i am turning from a complete stop. ALso when i floor it on the highway sometimes at Wide open throttle when i pass cars it will go STRAIGHT into neutral or something because it will just rev up and i watch the rpms reach red line and scares the shit out of me and i end up not passing. NOW: i took it back to tranny shop, stupid asses are saying they cant find anything wrong with it. THIS IS PISSING ME OFF SO BAD. WHAT DO I DO????? Please help.....

First thing that needs to be done is to check your fluid level. Your transmission holds 7 quarts and should be checked in neutral. If the goonies that did your trans rebuild filled the trans in park, they probably only put 2-3 quarts in it. With your fluid level being that low, your trans would produce the symptoms you described.

Yes. Drive the car around to warm it up first, then pull it in your driveway. Take the shifter and run it through P,R,N,D,2,1,2,D,N and check it in Neutral. Take out the dipstick, clean it off, put it back in and remove it a few seconds later. It should be easier to read after cleaning it off from all the trans fluid that shot up it beforehand.

Refer to the HOT side for fluid level.

yea.. thats exactly how i check it.. but it seems right when i check it there after its past full.. then a few seconds later is right at full.. stays that way for 10 seconds.. check it again, and its 2 inches past full.. an then stays at that point
