Default How many quarts of trans fluid????

does anyone know how many quarts of trans fluid the transmission takes on a full rebuild? I have to replace the transmission and don't know how many quarts total it takes.

Full capacity is 7.9 quarts. This includes the fluid in the torque converter. With 8 quarts you will be covered, but chances are pretty good that there is fluid in the torque converter, so you probably shouldn't put it all in. I would put in 4.5 quarts, let the car warm up, cycle through all gear shift positions, and then check the fluid. If it isn't at the hot line add fluid until it is.

if you are asking about just the tranny n/a is 2.4q and tt is 2.6q. if u got the manual open it up.... hope it helps..

Pretty sure he's talking about an automatic, not a 5-speed. Use +4 atf.
