No I didn't ask him any sales info, but I agree with what you said - sounds like machines for tranny shops. I wonder if I can find one thats reasonably priced for the average do-it-yourself consumer. GOOGLE time.

Either that or check for auto shops who are liquidating assets. Just a thought.

Great idea on the auto shops getting rid of stuff. Cool.

Exclamation Re: How to: Flush your ATX fluid and change your internal filter

NEWSFLASH: I just ordered some Castrol ATF+3 fluid last night because its what BigTyla uses and I was informed they could not fill the order because Castrol ATF+3 is being discontinued ! BigTyla - The question becomes, if you wouldn't put in Castrol ATF+3 then what fluid would you use? (Please answer for brand of Real oil and for brand of Synthetic oil). I want to go Synthetic, but not sure which to pick.

The Wal-Mart brand SuperTech makes ATF+3. I just put it in a couple of days ago and it is the same thing.

I can't justify going to a synthetic brand since I am changing my fluid yearly anyway. The friction modifiers and other specs on the synthetic fluid don't seem to make a difference in my application.

So you mean to tell me that in this case just because the WAL-MART brand is ATF+3 that you are cool using it even though it is the WAL-MART brand? I know sometimes the Xbrand stuff gets overlooked, but I just never would've thought to go SuperTech.

People always scream that X brand is better than any store brand without fluently knowing what they are talking about. Could they really know the difference between the two brands without taking their discussion to a molecular level, which would require tools most don't even have access to?
