It looks like everything behind the front seats has to come out. please tell me thats not true. if i have to, i will break out the dremel and cut the old ones out! i mean there the covers are, and snap, off they come. then it looks like the speaker is behind something thats behind something else and so on and so on. any ideas or shortcuts would be nice. thanks!!

its not necessary to remove driver and passenger seatbelts. You can just let the panels hang there

the rear seat belt shoulder harnesses, and the side panels, you'll also want to pull the rear seats out. You can get by with just pulling the panels up and out of the way, but you risk breaking them if bent too far.

Yeah all that has to come out. Its not a hard job though. I put some Pioneer 6x9s back there in about an hour, its well worth it.

I gotta do this too. I've got some new infinity 6x9's I wanna put in the back. Plus having this off would be a good time to clean the seatbelts so they retract a little better

HA! took me all damn day not to mention blood, sweat, and tears. and guess what? THEY SOUND EXACTLY THE SAME AS BEFORE!!!!! even though the original ones had no surround left and the paper was nearly turned to dust, the BRAND NEW ones i just spent all f*cking day installing sound no better. they still cut out when they want, and when they do play, it's awful. and yes the polarity was kept intact. must be the head unit? i bet i replace that and get the same difference somehow...... its thr stock amp you must have..... Just run your own wire from your head unit to your speakers and that should solve your problem..
