Mitsubishi Stock radio harness?

Hi all i have a kind of dumb question but here goes, Is it possible to hook up a 01 eclipse factory cd player to my 1g vr4 using the stock harness? Ie: did mitsu change how the cd player hookup over the years?

I am just tired of not being able to play burn't cds in my car and would like to leave the stock interior unchanged if possible.

The 1G radios are not compatible to the 93-96 changer that will play burnt cds. (not mp3) You need a 2g (93+) audio radio, and would have to adapt the radio plug and steering remote plug (no big deal)

This is what the that 93-96 6 disc changer plug should look like.

I actually ran across a mitsu oem 1g 2g audio adaptor too

I just read your post and I'm pretty sure the adapter you showed is what I need. Where can I get it?I also need the wires that go from the dash unit to the changer. Any ideas of where I can get that. I'm still waiting for replies from some other contacts.

I don't know that they ever made one for aftermarket. But you can buy the plugs and make one.

Ok. Where can I get the right plugs? They do make adapter harnesses for aftermarket installs but I am swapping OEM units. A 93 HU (1 plug) into a 92 VR4 (2 plug).
Also any info about the cd changer cables?

So you would buy the 93-07? male and the 80? to 92 female and connect them. The female plugs into your cars (92) male plugs and the male 93+ plugs into the radio.
