Default Stock Head Unit Question

I know that this question has been asked multiple times before but I have not found an answer yet.

On my stock unit the orange lcd is out. I can still see the other numbers for radio stations or cd track number in daylight.

This appears to be a common problem for the stock unit, but I have found no info on changing out a backlight bulb if that was it is? It has been referred to in a couple of posts but never confirmed.

Does anyone have any new info?

I have a 1994 dodge stealth tt with the double din head unit with the graphic eq sliders(all light).

If anyone finds the time to post let me thank you in advance!
