So, I wanted some bass but didn't want to lose my trunk, spare tire, storage, etc.
My buddy Tony of Soundcraft in Waterford,CT (
SoundCraft Car Stereo Entrance) hooked me up with a JL Audio 13.5" sub, which has a 2.5" mounting depth. He was nice enough to use one of my old V12 amps and my 1F Stinger cap to save me some money. All work was done by Josh, the lead custom fab guy who's been working for Tony for ever and does a first class job. I highly recommend these guys to anyone looking for audio work in their 3S. Check it out and tell me what you think:
Everything fits neatly under the cover:
Sub is firing straight down, and really hits hard:
This is after playing it with the car off for some time. When it's running, it's sitting around 13.8V, and only drops a tenth when the bass hits.
Thanks for looking, and check these guys out if you're in town!
