HONESLTY, there are not enough people that appreciate the work i think i do for the 3s. It would cost me ALOT to have a mold made of pods for a thick of enough material where there wont be a high resonance with a quality mid woofer installed. IF i could get 5 people and HOAT DOESNT MIND that 5 other people have his design, then for $750 for both sides ready for paint i will do a deep mount 6.5'' component setup for the doors along the bottom of the entire door and it will look factory. I will build all 5 at the same time but hoat will be done first. He doesnt exactly know what im doing yet, but he has been the most patient human being with me in the world. I sent a set of kicks back to him only to find his speakers gone in shipping and my kicks i built wrecked. fedex denied my claim and ive been trying to get him taken care of since. When his are done and he has permission, someone here would have to post the groupbuy as i am not allowed to do so. It would also be through gtpro, because i dont want anything going through me anymore. Up to you guys...Otherwise i dont think anyone would ever build these things.

Not that people dont appreciate your work, its that people dont seem to get what they pay for.

Obviously not talking about your work specifically (since you post very little of what you do), but guys like Unique etc., that seem to be very popular but dont seem to really do great work for the money they charge. Your work looks really good, in that picture. I bet that whole setup will cost the guy close to $20k?

No. the setup for the ferrari is worth about 6k for labor. I dont rape people on my labor. I charge a fair price for my work. setup cost roughly 9k-10k with all the wiring, new deck (eclipse) and all focal gear with matrials. Plus the knowledge of someone KNOWING how to work on his ferrari without screwing it up,,,,thats priceless.

More pics coming of the amp rack, there was something about the box that kept bugging me, so i had the whole thing repainted after i changed one of the curves below the horse, and the bad-ass door pods (they actually turned out very nice)

Long time 3si member COUNTACH is the one who bought Mike Tyson's Ferrari 512m. One of 75 Testarossa bodied cars made for the US market.

Mike Tyson literally "pimped" this Ferrari with gawd awful osterich skin seats, gold... blechhh! Just ugly pimp crap. COUNTACH began to undo the damage Mike did and put back some respectable appearance into his Ferrari, as they began to take out the sound system, the subwoofer box was screwed in through the engine barrier and right through the gas tank.

One of two things happened there, either Tyson went cheap on the install, or some sound system installer was a piss poor excuse for a sound system designer working under the umbrella of a respectable outfit. Major fail.

I couldn't not sleep and still do quality work. Looks like it didn't hurt you too bad, but are you sure you were working efficiently enough to make up for the lack of sleep? I guess I'm not seeing why that would take 72 hours of labor to produce...

It does look good though.
