Oh, I already mentioned that I'm all in on that group buy. I'll buy enough for 3 cars because I'm going to be doing a few vehicles.

When i had my windows tinted, i took it to a shop where the owners compete in the SPL competetions. They were #1 in the world for like 3 years in a row...you should hear (feel) that car!

They said its all the same stuff,
dynamat,
fatmat,
stinger,
second skin,

it does the same thing...but what name do you want on it he said??

i think im gonna go with fat mat, ebay that stuff is like 100 sqft for like 100$

It's true they all have similar products, but what's most important is to get a butyl based product, because the failure rate of asphalt based damping is terrible. Just look at the tests performed here Sound Deadener Showdown

I used Dynamat. Well, the car audio store installed it for me along with a complete stereo system upgrade (see my sig). The overall system, Dynamat and install wasn't cheap but it was worth it.

What part of the country do you live in?, with the temps lately in austin texas, yesterday it was 103 with a heat index 113. It might just melt, I have dyamat installed throughout and it seems to be holding up well in the heat.

To me this is one of the things you shouldn't try to get as cheap as possible. You are going to spend a lot of time tearing out the interior, then installing this stuff and finally putting it all together. Wouldn't it suck if you found out it wasn't what you had hoped? This is a one-time install or should be LOL! Spend the extra coin and get the good stuff IMO. Unless of course your time isn't valuable to you and you love tearing your car apart to spend more money on something you could've done right the 1st time.

Just my $.02
