I've had my eye on the AVIC D3

Does anyone else have one installed? Pictures? When I was on crutchfield it said that it wouldn't fit my car??

Thanks!

One of the few Pioneer headunits I would consider buying. My only complaint is that the RCA outputs are underpowered. No reason for such a high end unit to have less than 4v.

In the future when I decide to get a new headunit, I'm going for the Avic D3. Has anything I would want.

they look really nice, i have the 7500dvd in my car, which is a flip out unit... i would prefer not to have the flip out unit, but i got a deal on it at the time. i wonder what the difference is between my unit and that?

would this wire right up with a second gen with infiniti sound, or do you need something special to wire it up. I want to get this but I want to keep everything stock. so if i decide to get rid of the car, i could just unplug the head unit and put back in the stock one. So really my question is do all i need is a 5.00 dollar wire harness to keep everything plug and play if i want to go back to stock.

Hey yea, ive got the D3. This is my first post on here and ive been on for about a year and a half. But yes, i made my own trim ring along with completely redying the carpet, rear set delete with fiberglass sub box and a bunch of other stuff. Its a great unit, ill take some pics here tomorrow and shoot them your way. I really like it the like 5 days ive had it. Ive got the sirius tuner and my ipod hooked up and i bypassed the video. As far as the bypass goes and any other really important info go to avic411.com. Great site. You will need to find the VSS wire and the backup light wire because the unit bases your travel off speed forwards and backwards. That site has alot of info. You can do so much with that unit. But yea, if you have any questions, since i just got done with the install, i can help ya out
Cheers
