As far as sounding better, well thats got nothing to do with money when it comes to audio. You cannot judge a sound stage with your budget, i hope you know that too  Here's what it costs at our end, early last year when the install was done... Also keep in mind, im not in the US, so the cost if the equipment is much higher than there coz we have to pay import taxes as well! Headunit Alpine 9857 = $400 Hertz Hi Energy 3-Way Front Speaker = $850 Hertz Hi Energy 10" Subwoofer = $500 Audison LRx 4.1k Amplifier = $1800 Connection Audison Power Kit & Wirings = $450 AZ Audiocomp Full Car Damping = $500 Install Charges with Fabrication Work = $500 Total = $5000

500 for install? SHIT thats CHEAAAAAAAAAP. I'd rather pay more for gear then install. My install was looking at about 8900 dollars. LOL
But yes I know its not about budget to sound good But home theater speakers in a car > all  Well if your going for SQ. If you wanna check mine out go here. Thats good work there Greekpower. I know the install charges on mine are cheap. I just added the major material costs, not labor, because its my own shop
 Im on my way towards a new setup since we are no longer distributors for Elletromedia, Italy (Hertz & Audison). Shifted over to Rainbow Audio, Germany. And just thinking about their Reference speakers worth $20k for a 3 way component setup gives goosebumps! We also continue to sell our Image Dynamics range, so im now turning my car into the demo car for ID. Just changing the speakers and Subwoofer to IDMax with a new boot setup. Headunit shall remain the same. |

okay so my car is stripped off its audio components now... the new stuff has arrived, but i guess i will wait for a while before i start installing them. Since im gonna be doing the TT conversion pretty soon ill wait for a bit and do all the work together in one go both engine and audio.
