1994 Infinity Compatible OEM Head Units

I have a 94 SL with the Infinity head unit(equalizer etc). The aux input no longer works as well as my trunk disk changer. Is there another oem head unit with a built in cd player and AUX input that is plug compatible with my unit? I had bought another cd changer (Pioneer) but the plug is not compatible. Can anyone offer any suggestions? Thanks

I'm assuming you bought the pioneer ip bus changer.
SO:
The 97-99 3k infinity radio would work (plug and play) with a peripheral MITPIL:
That will control your pioneer ip buss changer.
That will also give you an aux input.

But you may need a 10 disc changer plug and changer cable to power it. After all it is made for a 97-99 audio system

I spoke to someone who has a unit from a 98, its an infinity with the cd and cassette but they didn't know if it had the equalizer or aux input. They gave me a part MR309315. Also I am assuming the cable you are talking about would be to replace the existing cable that runs to the trunk, right? If so, any ideas where I can get a cable? They are asking 175 for it, but the 94 unit I found they want 75 for the head unit and 75 for the cd changer. Sounds a bit high but I would rather go with the new unit. What do you think. I looked a bit more and found a unit from a 97 Galant that looks exactly like the unit from my 3gt. Model MB943298. That would still require a new cable to the trunk right? Still plug and play, except for the cable for a changer in the trunk I assume, yes?

A galant radio will not have the steering wheel control. But it doesn't sound like its a galant radio. I've seen enough of the radios to tell what they do but need pics pn# are useless.

The 97-99 3k (MR309315) radio does not have equalizer or aux input. It has bass mid and high knobs. The aux in has to be by using the peripheral MITPIL. That MITPIL would also make the radio compatible to the newer more reliable 6 disc pioneer ip buss changers. (I may have the radio, mitpil, and changer cable)

But if some one wants to sell you the correct parts AND warranty them to work correctly that may be an option.

It's not infinity. has no clock, or steering wheel controls.
