Im replacing my custom full trunk box that have 2x12" dual coil Rockford subs with a box that uses 2x10" subs. Anyone have any recommendations on a good subwoofer that gives good bass, doesnt cost a ton, comparable to the Rockford subs?

MB Quart RSH 254 Subwoofers
I had one 12" MB Quart Discus sub in a sealed box, driven by 150 bridged watts, and it was both louder and cleaner than most things you can buy in a Best Buy. My friend had two 12" best buy subs (alpine maybe?) driven by 1000 watts and it couldn't touch my one 12" MB Quart. I will sing MB Quart's song forever based on that sub, and their incredible tweeters.

for ease of install and the ability to remove if need be I like 2 of these - Future Shop: Car & Marine Electronics: Car Audio Subwoofers: Infinity Self-Amplified Subwoofer System (BASSLINK)
I'm not a big fan of permanently mounting amps - others I'm sure don't feel this way though. dont forget to buy your earplugs - lol |

The best sound Rockford subs make is the thud as they hit the bottom of a bumpster. Mid range JL's (w3's) will give you the best bang for your buck. Hell, a single 8w7 will hit harder that those rockfords...but the 10w3's are amazing also.
