is the rest of this manual available for download somewhere? is this the actual technical manual from DSM?
This is a good manual why do you want another kind? This is pretty complete just wondering. ohh anyways Don't call our cars DSM's I'm taking it your new here but 3000GT's and Stealths were not made in the USA. Therefore they are not Diamond Star Motors cars. They are Mitsubishi if you want to get down and dirty.
This is the complete rebuild manual for the trannys. It was translated from Japanese as it was not available in the US.

sorry...i knew that i wasn't sure if the complete manual for all technical/mechanical work was available online, not just the Tranny, thats what i was asking. I also wasn't sure if the manual was strictly Mitsu, or DSM, because Dodge was part of the whole deal.
I work at a reprographics company so I can turn this into a nice hard copy for free
you should do this then and then let us all have a copy to put in our records. i know i keep every book i own on cars and also CD's for any online data i obtain
Great work on this and it will help me when i get the money to do the rebuild at my school... damn college costs

Thanks for the info. anyone know off hand where to get the disasembly tools MB991578 (REAR COVER DISSASIMBLY TOOL) for W5MG1 AND MB991589 WORKING BASE. Also best sealant to use and where to find?
Try Mistu parts for the tools. If they can not get them, then try a tool truck like Snap-On or MAC for instance. I use and have had great luck with the Mitsu sealant. I have always used a gray sealant either Mitsu or a brand from the parts store. The key is to use just a thin film. Excessive sealant useage can led to premature failure of bearings, rings, and even cause leaks. (As odd as that sounds.)

Bumping this one to the top.
Anybody know where to get parts? I've been calling a lot of people with the same results. Kormex doesn't have too much parts anymore, CRS is not building replacement parts anymore, and even Getrag USA doesn't have anything for the 5 or 6 speed anymore.
I am rebuilding a '92 5 speed and I need:
* a set of the 3 synchro rings for 2nd (inner ring had broken in 2)
* rearmost aluminum cover
* one ball and one spring for 1/2 hub and sleeve
If anybody can throw me a hint of who to contact, please let me know.
