Somehow, I don't think their opinion would change !!! I personally would still take the VR4 over 99% of the cars out there !!! ![]() |

Its all about the driver and experience with the car. It would be a better if they let the testers drive the car for about a month before they actually had to get a 1/4 time out of the car. I know it took me a while to get the launch and shifting an vr4. Some 1st gens have gone 13.6 @ over a 100 completely stock. All those cars are capable of better times stock. Supra would still win the straighline stuff for 93. 94 With the appropriate AWD launch the vr4 could possible get the same ET but the supra with the right driver behind the wheel would still trap significantly higher than all the other cars.

As far as I know, these guys are professionals and run the quarter mile (as well as the 0-60, etc) several times and pick the best runs of the bunch. I don't think it's a matter of them not knowing how to launch. Now, an argument can be made that these cars are brand new and not nearly broken in yet. Also, there are some cars from the factory that are faster or slower than others...there's no real explanation.

I have this issue as well, and I am shocked that Mitsu couldn't give a pre-production 94 to the testers that previous summer. Heck, even the Stealth didn't get any love considering they had a Vette in the test. bastards ![]()
