As many know, and some may not, NAs have what 80%+ cars have which is Saturated high resistance injectors. TTs come with Peak Hold low resistance injectors as do amny turbo cars.
Saturated Injectors are lower performance. You will get faster more accurate Fuel injection using Peak Hold injectors. So when doing a TT or Single T conversion you should change the system over to Low impedence Peak Hold. Don't know how many have done this or if any threads/FAQs have been done but I started mine blindly tonight taking pictures and all. I will have a good write up with pics tomorrow. Once I dug through everything and consulted the shop manual a few times for wiring schematics it was pretty simple. You will need a TT resistor box. It helps if you have the harness with some lenght on it also but you can always just extend the wires. I also converted the 4 wire on one plug rear injector harness to a full 6 wire by chopping off a male and female plug with some wire lenght from a donor harness. This way the rear will have 6 independant wires just like the fronts. And I wired the 4 wire stock NA plug to two injectors and the added 2 wire plug to the last injector. This will also give me the Plug in option instead of a hard wired sytem. It will be more stock like. And remember: Saturated Injectors can be used in Peak Hold systems, but not the other way around. So if you want to use the better injector you must do this conversion.

Not one response?
I am done the conversion and have many pics. I will post them in a sec. I did it the hard way so that it would look stock. You can probably take shortcuts and make it a little easier. |

Why respond when I'm just waiting for the writeup?
Punkasscrab had done something similar, but instead of wiring in the stock resistor pack he wired separate resistors into each injectors wire loom.

I will get around to adding text-info to each picture later. It's lunch time.

so are you almost done with the writup?? And just to clarify to make sure I'm understanding this right, this is wiring a TT resistor pack into the N/A harness which is using a N/A ecu?? If so then you truely are god lol.

Only no part is that I am not using an NA ECU. You can just plug in a TT ECU as the wires are the same. I am using a LINK Plus Standalone though. Never did the write up cause it realy seems no one is interested in it. The thread just kinda died so I didn't want to waste time that I don't have to make a write up that no one cared about. ![]() |

so is there a way to use a NA ecu then with the NA wiring harness and still do the Resistor pack in it? Man I really care about this thread. I was estadic (sp??) when I found it cause I've been looking into different ways to do this and finally concluded that I should just solder individual 2W 6ohm ceramic resistors in there, but if there a way to avoid that using OEM mitsu equipment then I'd rather go for that. Trust me there is a big need for that write up. About 3 months ago there was a huge debate on the boards on whether it could be done period and pretty much everyone said it couldn't. You've pretty much proved everyone wrong which I feel has helped better the FWD TT community a ton. It's only been lately that this community has started to really break ground and we need all the help and input that people can give if we are going to continue to break even more ground. I know I for one was really excited when I heard that you were switching over to the FWD crowd and going to do a FWD T car. It's people and like you that are willing to take the initiative that are gonna end up bettering this platform and people like me who are VERY interested in your work that will impliment the new ideas and other things. Ok well I'm done ranting now. I'm gonna go water my bambo stick.
-Gary BTW- PLEASE DO THE WRITEUP!!!! ![]() |

Yes, The way I did it in the SL-T is using the stock NA harness and the TT Injector pack. Now I did have the car side plug on the TT Ressitor pack with some legnth which is whoat helped big time in wiring it in. It can totaly be done using an NA ecu and harness with TT Injectors or any low impendence Peak Hold size injector.
