bob, i agree,im a dried up stinky dick licker. but ya know what? i run 14.0! lol. jk, hurry the hell up on them headers man. god knows we need them, and god knows youre gonna make a shit load of cash.

with the 11-1 compression that would be a great idea.... id love to do it. up the compression, and get some more displacement with the 93mm pistons in there? thats gotta be good for at LEAST 20 more hp. with supporting intake/exhaust mods, ie HEADERS BOB, HEADERS!!!. lol

i dont give a fuck anymore. ive taken my place as number 2 all time at the track. now its time to join the masses of TTS in the 12s for 3 grand in investments...... sigh.... sucks to be among the highest ranking n/a's and have to quit on yall. just kidding guys. ill always continue to help the N/a guys wherever i can..

" beat it geek, the slow kids stay at club si.com. this list is if ya wanna get your non turbo to go fast. not what doofie wants you to do with your non turbo. you aint gonna find one car that has lost a motor OR bearings to an underdrive pulley. this holds true for mustangs as well. ive never heard of such garbage.
high HIGH horsepower motors are ones that "require" harmonic dampening. not a measly 303hp at the crank... ( this is what my hp comes out to be with the nitro sprayin and the car weighin 3250, using a hp calculator)
so once again. maybe YOU should do some research before you post? OR you can eat my ass. as its full of corn and peanuts.
trust me dood, ive done my homework, and kevin shapells website kept me away from the UDP apon fear of "breaking my bearings" bleh. bullshit. it hasnt happened yet. and im sorry but i refuse to loose to civics and bullshit garbage cars of that nature, so i bought it, let me tell you im kickin my self in the ass for not buying it sooner. my advice to you kids out there in tv land. get yourself the 3sx one. it doesnt underdrive as much so you dont get that nasty voltage drop at idle. matt monett must be wrong. hes got it on both his record breaking cars, and i must be the fool too.. oh thats right i built a 14.0 second na. by the way thats good for number 2 nationaly.i must be a real fucking idiot. BLOW ME.

Actually there are documented cases of premature bearing failure due to a lack of harmonic balancer...why don't you do the fucking searching? Secondly how are you going to say it doesnt result in early failure? Most of the times when bearings or other engine components fail early they blame it on something else due to the bullshit rhetoric that is being spread about them not doing damage. Are you telling me that because Matt Monet uses it everyone else should? Are you going to now tell us to buy hondas because of their success on the IDRC drag circuit? Wow how convient of you to completely ignore the physics involved...maybe you could touch base on that and tell us why the laws of physics apply to everything except cars? Possibly you're just too ignorant to even understand the points brought up in the first place. As far as I'm concerned you're just another rice boy spraying naaawwwsss, listening to the gospel of other ignorant street racers.

For those of you interested in a ud pulley that won't put your engine at risk...ones with harmonic dampeners are available.

BTW it's funny that you said you bought the ud pulley so you wouldn't loose to civics...

Something else that seems to wear an engine down quicker is TURBO's and two is even better. Not saying that I would never own one...I have! But I am saying that it is ironic that you argue engine wear from a faster moving pulley when you have two whrilling, spinning, spooling, swooshing, turbos forcing air through. Just let us NA guys figure it out.

ps...I'm not bashing any turbo car here

Very nice list. However besides the fuel pump you might wanna add bigger injectors as well before you install the nitros.

Default WOW

how did this turn into an argument? lets focus on the "what works" and "what gives results"

how many of us bought the car new?.......exaclty...probably about 5 total.

now hopw many bought the 3s car with over the 60 k mark?

now did you do the timming belt like we should? I doubt it...I would willing to bet that just about a large portion of NA and TT owners took it for granted that the car with 80k already had the belt done.....that seems risky.....point is this.....our NA are heavu pig sleds..we all know that.....nobody is saying it is true solid 10 hp gain from a pully and all is good. It is undisputed that the pully is lacking the "balancer" that motors need without question...but the cases are rare if any and the mod gives results.

Why is a turbo guy posting here anyway? does it make you feel like a big dog boasting about you extension? You have a completely different car than us...the redline is more of concern for us rather than nock for the turbo.....the turbo needs to find the happy place between nock limits and rpm....you have a lot viration in the crank than we do...DUH! you will never see an NA posting 14.5 lbs of boost......your crank is put through hell just from boosting pressures.........lighten up!

how do we get int 13's gents.......lets focus on that.......pully or not...nawwwwws or not......what else? WHAT ELSE?
diffrent 1-2 gears? maybe a faster launch into sub 1.9's on the 60' that will get us there.....kind of like 4:11's inthat old 69 camero.......I would give up a top speed of 145 for a 13.99999999
think about it........135 top speed and low 13's....that a worthy machine boys.

lets back on subject now please

bobk

Yeah Bob your right, us N/A's have to stick together but lets focus on the topic here... we're all looking for more HP right? UDP sounds like a good mod for that goal, but everyone has there own opinion, yeah they could have to draw backs but it's at your own risk... you may run a 14.8 with them on, and I'll run a 14.9(just ask bob about that one) w/o and could possiably have my car 20k more than you because of it... is it worth it... maybe for us hardcore guys.

You know what waers a car out quickest... racing.

I am sure every single mod out there lessens the durability of you car.

If they could have done all thse things to make the car faster and last just has long as stock, dont you think they would have done them.

Everything has its own cost.

LETS talk like were in the real world instaed of some silly guy in a lab coat typing theroys on the internet.

Default back on topic....

I will agree with the weight reduction thing....a bunch of us locals went to the track and we say countless interiors laying around the pits...real funny to see...you bring your girl to sit in the pits on your passenger seat watching all your interior pannels...those honda boys sure are silly. I even saw a few pass side headlights out.....this puzzled the hell out of me till I noticed the cut through the headlight bucket to the airfilter...rather ingenous I must admit....even saw a "coffee can" strapped to the muffler on a geo metro..........

our very own RedRedmelo ran his Isuzu trooper with a vr4 motor in it...that was cool!...oh...it was in the back getting ready to be shipped off to somebody....long story...it was cheeper to run the 1/4 than it was to park in the lot and watch...so he ran a 20.5 in the trooper....what a madman!

weight is deffinately another issue.......good call

bobk.
