In short there is some slight benefit mentioned of backpressure in a non-EFI vehicle, but even then it must be balanced as everything else in life must be. Read those links above to see what I'm talking about.

very nice yogurt, I'm in the process of gettin back into these cars. I was also thinking, maybe add a section to the n/a upgrade bible for simple stuff to remove for weight reduction? maybe also get weights of everything you can remove. I'm pretty sure someone on the board has something in excell that has weight of lots of parts on these cars. just an option, good luck to anyone going the n/a route. Mike

So, after all of these modifications, what's your 0-60 time? I'm all about quick cars - makes driving fun
That said, what's the most cost effective way to make my car QUICKER? (Without putting a turbo on it and in response, blowing the engine up before its time) |

since when did the NA.. or TT for that matter.. weigh 4000lbs?! My car weighs 3200 lbs without me in it and no lightwieght mods (non-rotating mass at least) except for the hood and ABS delete. I also had a aftermarket radio, carputer, and laptop in at the time.
