i will not pass inspection, but you can remove it and put back on your cat in like 5 minutes, its four bolts. I only use my cat for inspection.

Now I know no one has been on this post for a bit, but I figured I can try. Now I have a 91SL. My only mod is cat back exhaust. I need to replace my throttle body soon due to the fact that it is going. GT-Pro is selling one for $150 + $150 to be polished and $275 to be bored out to 65mm. I am going more for a show look, but should I bother with the polishing or boring it out. Mitsubishi charges $900 for the replacement so that's out. At the same time I am going to be replacing my aif filter with a stillen or K+N and possible the intake pipe as well. Thanks.

I would wait till it goes out before you buy. That is a lot of money for a throttle body. When it goes, get the bored out one. Whether it's polished or not is up to you. You could actually polish it yourself if you are feeling ambitious. Just search for some old threads on how to polish or search the net. As for the filter, don't get K&N or Stillen. They are way over priced. Buy a Powerstack filter instead. It is bigger and a whole lot cheaper. Get the 7in long with 4.5 in round opening on the connecting end. Then you will have to pick up an adapter off of ebay or call 3sx and they will usually hook you up with one. I can't remember the exact website for the powerstack filters but it has been posted a few times. Just check some old threads for it.
