Takes about 30 minutes, didn't even really grind the little cylinder into a ball, and it still works fine.
I want to try this, but I'm feeling a little n00bish. On that second picture, is the throttle cable actually going towards the driver's fender like I think? The first pic it's installed as I expected. Is the second pic just to show detail before it was connected to the intake mani?

yes it is going towards the driver fender... that's the way the sleeve is bent and you just have to loop it around to the intake/tb... this is a really simple mod.

OK, here's where I'm at. It's easy to see cause there's no motor in the car, so I figured it's the perfect guinea pig to test with so I don't break my DD.

TOOLS NEEDED:
10mm socket (most bolts)
12mm socket (brackets)
12mm wrench (to loosen the cables at the CC box)

Lone throttle cable coming out from the firewall, ready to tweak

There's a cable that comes from the CC box, across the firewall, and into an egg shaped thing that I removed. It was on the left, towards the middle, roughly near the windshield squirter/battery tray. It's not in the pic but this should make it easy to see where it was.

The standard 3S "this is all the stuff I took out" pics

Where the CC box used to sit. Still need to go back and put the bolts in the open holes though.

Here's my couple questions:

1) Is there a tool that lets you remove/reattach the little nubs from the end of the cables? The one inside the CC assembly is smaller than the regular throttle cable end. I'd like to reuse the regular stock size piece that goes to the TB, and also to remove the solid metal sleeve from the cable and get a new one. This would also let me reuse the stock throttle cable sleeve that bolts to the intake manifold.

Once I get those two things taken care of, I think I'm ready to try it on the other car. I'll take more detail pics of the process along the way on that one.

EDIT: I think I'm a moron. I was wondering about the vac line from the cruise control egg shaped thing. I think that goes to the TB, not the windshield wiper squirter :banghead:

Sounds like they gave you a non-cruise control cable. That one goes from the pedal, wraps around the motor (not literally ) and to the throttle body. Check the part number and/or ask dodge if they ordered a non-cruise cable.
