Update:
After waiting a month for a 99SL to get from Pittsburg to Rhode Island it was delivered late this week. More than 3 weeks to ship a car via National. They told my wife 7-10 days go figure.
Today at 4:00 the conversion was started on the 99SL. It was a father and son project. With me being the father. We got off to a flying start even with dealing with a different component in the system we were able to put the system thru tests in 2 hours. After that 9 displays and 9 climate control computers were tested. Along with a few other replacements (2 speakers). The job took 4.5 hours. We expect to go for a better time sometime soon when we convert a 94 base. As for the kits they will be available shortly.

Update.

Digital Climate Conversion #4 completed this Thursday in 3 hours in my son's car. A 94 base. The second one for him (95SL & 94 Base). The Base was to be a turbo conversion, but why bother when you can just buy one. The first, a minor issue was discovered and solved the next day (Photo sensor). As for the kits. I have five 99% ready. The only issue left is how to Package the 80 + pictures in the instructions. Looks like burning them on a cd is the way to go. The best place would be in the 3SI group buy too.

Were these kits completed for sale to 3si members yet?
Whats with the one in the parts for sale linking to a kit on ebay?
Not the same person, is it?

Great Question Rich. My ebay Id is Ddave57 and feedback is http://feedback.ebay.com/ebaymotors/...me=STRK:ME:UFS I did have a trader rating of 9 on 3SI but who knows what happened to that system???

As far as the ebay kit goes If someone actually does separate any harness from an existing Digital harness there are a minimum of 3 connections lost we (My son and I) have taken 9 of these out I know. I question whether the splices have been made. Also I already see an extra part in the picture.
I was all set to start the group buy but lost quite a few files from a windows media #10 Beta. My backups were burnt on a DVD but for some reason I can't read them. I lost over 100 ebay pics I had too. But I had an extra smart media camera card that they were on too. The 80 plus DCCC pics had to be labeled again and some have instructions on them. So I just burnt the first set of instructions on CD. Hopefully I'll get a chance to start the group buy tonight. Also I will have some way for the guys that buy the kit to personally talk to me for assistance.

At least Two of the four DCC conversions done will be available to see at the October Cape Cod Quickening.

Dave, still making kits or no? I want to do the conversion and I just won the auction on a 98-99 Control Unit of eBay. So would that mean I only need the harness and actuactors? Thanks.

Tony

Sorry Tony don't even know if it is compatable. I am not planning on finding out any time soon. I could plug it in a working system as I have 2 here. I don't even know if the plugs fit for sure. But it may take out the computer and or the display. If you ship it to me I'll give it a shot.

The kits will be listed in a group buy after the Quickening I will only be offering complete kits as the parts have been tested.
