Default Re: 1G Electronic Boost Data Logging

Im thinking about connecting my el. greddy boost gauge sensor to the egtr wire. As this gauge reads to 2kpa, it shoud have 3bar map sensor, am i right? The sensor gets its ground and + from the gauge, so if i just tap into its sensor wire and connect it to the egtr sensor wire it should work?

Should work like a champ... (as per paragraph at start of post for existing boost sensors.)

No good. The sensor itself is working, but the readings are incorrect. I tried chosing all 3 types of map sensors and none of them read correctly. The 2bar seting is nearest to the truth, when the gauge shows 0 kgcm, mmcd reads 0.81 bar, after starting the motor, gauge reads 500mmhg, mmcd 0.49 bar. When trying to chose bigger map sensor in preferences, reading increase more.
Is there any way to customize egtr reading?
Anyone else actually tried connecting greddy boost gauge sensor to egtr?

Not even close - should be 1.0 bar with engine off (assuming you are near sea-level) and more like .35 bar at idle.

With ignition on but engine not running please provide the following measurements with a DVM so we can figure out what is going on.

Ground Difference ________ Volts
Red Lead - MAP Sensor GND
Black Lead - A22-GND

Sensor Output _________ Volts (engine off)
Red Lead - MAP Sensor Signal
Black Lead - MAP Sensor GND

And sensor voltage at idle.

Sensor Output _________ Volts (Idle)
Red Lead - MAP Sensor Signal
Black Lead - MAP Sensor GND

Question Re: 1G Electronic Boost Data Logging

Is this Greddy sensor the same one that the E-01 uses? Any luck with it?

Unfortunately, "Beer" was involved in a fatal car accident... a moment of pause for all of us to enjoy the cars but drive responsibly....

Unhappy Re: 1G Electronic Boost Data Logging

Well.. that is unfortunate. Anyway, I'll try using the Greddy pressure sensor this weekend and post the results.

Question Re: 1G Electronic Boost Data Logging

Finally got off my ass and plugged the Greddy sensor to the A22. Here are the results:

"With ignition on but engine not running please provide the following measurements with a DVM so we can figure out what is going on.

Ground Difference 0.012 Volts
Red Lead - MAP Sensor GND
Black Lead - A22-GND

Sensor Output 1.489 Volts (engine off)
Red Lead - MAP Sensor Signal
Black Lead - MAP Sensor GND

And sensor voltage at idle.

Sensor Output 1.200 +/- .060 approx Volts (Idle)
Red Lead - MAP Sensor Signal
Black Lead - MAP Sensor GND"

With the setting on 3BAR, mmcd was reading .84bar at idle- the E-01 was reading from -5 to -7 psi.
Any thoughts?

Bad vac line connection / dead sensor or dying engine! Should be ~.5 V at idle assuming -10 PSI of vacuum.

I have the sensor teed with my boost gauge line to the back of the plenum.

I did a leak test, and everything is tight...
